It has a smooth and subtle fruity flavor, without being sweet. There is a nice finish, with a slight but pleasant after taste. It is described as "black cherry and toasted oak tasting, with a soft aroma of cherry, light oak, and a dash of spice". I found it a satisfactory wine with dinner, or after dinner.
